1100MBD G3.6
Day-to-night imaging performance in a board camera built for seamless integration. The Watec WAT-1100MBD combines a compact 23 × 23 × 34 mm design with high-sensitivity color and near-infrared imaging for embedded surveillance, monitoring, and OEM camera systems that must operate across changing light conditions.
Its 1/3.2-inch BSI CMOS sensor uses progressive scanning and provides more than 750 TV lines of horizontal resolution at the image center through composite analog output in NTSC or PAL configurations. Minimum illumination is 0.005 lx at F2.0 with AGC at 54 dB and the shutter off. Wide dynamic range, mecha-less ICR day/night operation, 850 nm IR imaging, OSD controls, and an M12 lens mount give integrators a versatile miniature platform for dependable 24-hour imaging.

High-Sensitivity Day/Night Imaging
Minimum illumination is 0.005 lx at F2.0 with AGC at 54 dB and the shutter off. A dual-band pass filter enables imaging with 850 nm infrared illumination at night.
Mechaless ICR day/night operation can be controlled automatically or manually. Automatic gain control provides adjustment from 0 to 54 dB, while manual gain control provides the same range in 6 dB steps.
NTSC and PAL Video Output
The WAT-1100MBD is available in NTSC and PAL configurations. Effective pixel counts are 1280 × 960 for NTSC and 1280 × 924 for PAL. Composite video output is provided at 1.0 V(p-p), 75 ohms, unbalanced.
The NTSC electronic-iris range is 1/60 to 1/100000 second. The PAL electronic-iris range is 1/50 to 1/100000 second.
Wide Dynamic Range and Image Controls
Wide dynamic range and digital wide dynamic range provide adjustable imaging control for scenes with changing illumination. Additional functions include adjustable 2D noise reduction, backlight compensation, highlight-suppression backlight compensation, adjustable sharpness, defog, 16 privacy masks, and vertical, horizontal, or combined image reversal.
OSD Configuration
Camera functions can be configured through the on-screen display using the optional RC-01 remote controller. Available white-balance modes include automatic tracking, automatic, push, manual, and preset settings of 5100K and 6300K.
Lens and System Integration
The M12 P=0.5 lens mount accepts compatible miniature lenses. The standard WAT-1100MBD (G3.6) configuration includes the M3620BC-12 lens with a 3.6 mm focal length and F2.0 aperture. Glass lenses and pinhole lenses are not interchangeable.
A four-pin connector provides composite video output and power input. A two-pin connector provides IR-light control, and the RC-01 connection supports remote OSD operation.
Compact Design and Power
The camera measures 23 × 23 × 34 mm and weighs approximately 13 grams. It operates from 5 to 12 VDC and consumes approximately 0.6 W at 5 VDC or 0.72 W at 12 VDC. A four-pin cable and two-pin cable are included.
