The Watec WAT-933 is a compact, high-sensitivity monochrome network camera built around a 1/2.8-inch back-illuminated CMOS image sensor with 1945 × 1097 effective pixels. It provides network video at resolutions up to 1920 × 1080 and a maximum frame rate of 30 fps.

H.264 and MJPEG compression, ONVIF Profile S support, microSD recording, PoE operation, external DC power, and browser-based configuration support integration into network video systems.

High-Sensitivity Monochrome Imaging

Minimum illumination is 0.0001 lx at F1.4 with AGC High at 72 dB and the shutter off. Automatic gain control is adjustable from 0 to 72 dB.

Exposure controls include selectable fixed shutter speeds, electronic-iris operation, and slow-shutter operation extending to ×32. Adjustable 3D noise reduction, wide dynamic range, backlight compensation, highlight-suppression backlight compensation, sharpness, defog, and white-blemish correction provide control over image reproduction.

Full HD Network Video

The WAT-933 provides selectable output sizes of 1920 × 1080, 1280 × 720, 800 × 600, 704 × 480, 704 × 400, 640 × 480, 640 × 360, and 320 × 240. The maximum frame rate is 30 fps.

H.264 and MJPEG video compression are supported. Separate main and sub streams allow resolution, frame rate, image quality, and bitrate settings to be configured for the network environment.

Network Integration and Control

The RJ45 Ethernet interface supports 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX network connections. Supported protocols include TCP/IP, UDP/IP, RTP over TCP, RTSP, SNTP, HTTP, FTP, DHCP, and DNS.

The camera supports ONVIF Profile S and can be configured through its browser-based interface. Imaging, video, recording, network, user, time, audio, and system settings are accessible through the camera configuration pages.

Recording and Audio

A microSD card slot supports stand-alone recording without a continuous network connection. Supported recording functions include continuous recording, scheduled recording, snapshots, and time-lapse operation.

Recommended cards are SDHC or SDXC, MLC or high-durability type, Speed Class 10 or higher, with a documented capacity of 128 GB or less.

The four-pin connection supports DC power and external microphone input. The camera can use its internal microphone or a connected external microphone or line-level source, depending on the selected configuration and cable.

Power and System Integration

The WAT-933 can be powered through an IEEE 802.3af PoE connection or from a DC 12–36 V supply. DC 12 V is recommended for external DC operation. PoE and DC power must not be used simultaneously.

Power consumption is approximately 1.92 W or 40 mA with 48 V PoE and approximately 1.56 W or 130 mA at DC 12 V.

Lens Mount and Compact Construction

The back-focus-adjustable CS mount supports compatible CS-mount lenses, including DC auto-iris lenses. C-mount lenses can be installed with the optional 30CMA-R adapter.

The camera body measures approximately 34 × 34 × 50 mm, excluding connectors and projections, and weighs approximately 80 grams. Its operating-temperature range is 0°C to +50°C, with operating and storage humidity of 95% RH or less without condensation.
